Quick Look can also read a variety of file formats. When you want to edit, of course, you’ll need to use whichever editor you prefer. Actually, Brad had a great idea. Try to open it in Safari and see how it reads there.

Hi John, Nice to know that you are on the group too. Sadly it's not working out for me on Text Edit. I have tried all the options that you suggested. Also, I don't want to open the document in a web brouzer. This is because I want to have the option of editing it if required. Have you tried opening the file in a browser, such as Safari, Chrome or even Brave on your Mac? Thanks for your response. As I mentioned, in Text Edit, I am not being able to read paragraph by paragraph. When Voiceover moves to a new page, it reads the first paragraph character by character. The subsequent paragraphs are read properly, and then once again after a page break, I encounter the same problem. I have tried all possible options, with quick nav on and off, as well as keyboard commanders. For things of that length I usually convert to text and read in TextEdit. I’ve never had a problem with that. Hi What is the best way to read book length documents on Mac? I have large Word files from my Windows computer. These files take a lot of time loading on Mac when I open them on Word. With Pages and Text Edit, I am facing a strange problem. I prefer to read paragraph by paragraph. But whenever Voiceover encounters a page break, it starts reading character by character. I have taking this issue to Apple Accessibility and they have not been able to help. My Word documents are 300 to 400 pages long. Can anyone please advise?
