Then simply focus on the point, which is, send feedback to both Apple and Amazon. But it is very  likely that the Amazon developrs already have the connection to Apple. So keep the complaints going to Amazon.

Perhaps you did not understand my point, I might have been to vague.
There are  likely  hundreds of thousands if not more  voiceover users..they are not on this list though to learn from brad. Instead, they are going to contact amazon, and likely  learn no way to fix their issue.
Voiceover is the screen reader  on IOS apps as well.
Making my point that reaching out to amazon is a wise one, Apple too.

I have not seen a survey that corroborates that statement. Very few VO users? Brad did specifically state the Amazon app works for him using an iOS app. So why argue the [point?

 Brad,
as helpful and appreciated as your wisdom might be, have you ever
 considered something?
very very few voiceover and IOS users are on this list.
So, a person understandably in the  poster's situation is never going to  get  this idea, and of course because it works in your case does not mean
 it  works for them.
They may call amazon, even the so called customer service line for people
with disabilities line.  And, if done, they are not going to get your
 wisdom  either.
All the more reasons for  contacting Amazon anyway, most of their
customers are not going to learn from you.
 Just thoughts,
 Karen
