Hello, Many thanks for the suggestions on possible ways to fix this problem. First I tried adding another fingerprint. I was able to do this once only and it did not help. I then tried signing out the iPhone SE2020 from my Apple ID and then tried erasing all data and settings. That did not work as the erase everything failed due to the FindMy lock. Can you please explain the nuclear option of putting the phone into DFU mode and the subsequent steps. What is DFU mode? Many thanks … Paul Hopewell
