Timing is everything. I held the POWER button in for just a little bit
longer, and Bingo! VoiceOver came up. Now, how in the world did it know
... never mind. I tried booting from the internal drive, but that didn't
work. So I re-started, got VO again, and I chose re-install. It's about
70% through. This is not a problem because I was just getting going
setting this machine up, so I really didn't lose any time, and I didn't
even have a Time Machine backup yet, so I really didn't lose anything at
all. Sure wonder what went wrong and why the thing just crapped out the
way it did.
