Hello Donna and everyone,

Our A-V technician and I had a showdown with Apple concerning this very issue.
10 years of that crap was long enough. We also told them we wouldn't buy any
more Apple devices until they developed a cridentials system that didn't
require us to only use their devices, told them that our Apple TV Appliance was
the only Apple Product we owned, and wanted this constant requests for us to
enter our Apple Password to stop! It's been over 3 weeks now since I was
prompted to log into our Apple TV Appliance and/or unlock our Apple Account. It
looks like they got the message. Let's see what happens going forward. 10 years
of that stuff was long enough! Hope you can achieve similar results with Apple.
All the best.

Peter Donahue

Subject: Re: iPad constantly asking for my passcode

Hi Karen,

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I don’t think that setting is
present in iPadOS. I looked for it, and googled it, but no luck. So I suspect
Brad, ET and Rajiv are right. While I understand the logic of the current
setup, I do wish Apple would allow users to configure it. Especially on an
iPad, it doesn’t seem that implausible that an iPad might sit dormant for more
than 24 hours. I’d like to be Able to extend it to a week or two.
Cheers,
Donna
