For the iPod, have you tried tripple Clicking the Home button? If that doesn’t work, plug it into your Mac and it should show up in the Finder Side bar. If Memory serves there’s an accessibility button and one of the options is VoiceOver. As for the VO tutorial, shouldn’t it use your current VO voice? But you can also try VO Shift Left or right Aero until you get to the voices category, then you can VO Shift Command up and down aero to try and change the voice.
