Hi Teresa,

I don't know whether this is supported for the iPod Shuffle, but Christina is correct in stating that you can check charging status for the iPad, iPhone, and other recent version iPods from the context menu for the device in the sources table. The "LCD display area" will let you view details of files as they sync to your device, but this is usually only useful if your sync takes some time. The fastest way to get to the "LCD display area" is to VO-Up arrow twice from the iPod settings scroll area.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther

Thanks. I don't remember seeing that option in the context menu, but will try again. I also found an area in the ITunes window called "LCD display area" and interacted with it. My IPod was charged already when I found it, so it merely said "IPod is synced and ready to disconnect". I'll try and see if that's the area that shows battery status, too.

I'm not sure of a better way and I'm also not 100% sure if this will work for you. However, this is how I do it when my iPad is hooked up to my mac. In iTunes. I go to the sources table and move down to my iPad. Then I vo plus shift plus m. That brings up the context menu. There should be options there like eject and sync and such. If I keep going down I get my battery status.

I hope that helps,
Christina

Hi, folk,

When I used to use ITunes with Windows, there was a way to note the battery status of my IPod Shuffle. I'm not finding this in OS x. Is it displayed either on the desktop or in iTunes?

Thanks,
Teresa
