This is a concept lots of people have a problem with, bt it's really not 
difficult, and you don't have to interact with everything. All it is really is 
focusing in on a particular item to examine it more closely. For example, if 
you come accross a tool bar, and you're interested in it, you can interact with 
it and read each item. If you're not interested, you can just skip it. The 
windows screen readers would require you to move through all the icons before 
moving on to something else. I suppose neither approach is right or wrong, 
they're just different, which is why it's important to emphasize to a windows 
user switching to a mac, it's not windows. The mac and voice over do things 
somewhat differently. Certainly there are some similarities, but if you go in 
to it expecting it to work the way windows and windows screen readers do, you 
are very likely to become frustrated.
