it is on yours, I have to reset the brightness very time I boot up  and 
sometimes i forget  I'm getting a solid 4-5 hours depending n what I do   i 
missed the new 10 hour mbp by 4 weeks and didn't kow it was coming out you 
would think that the lady at the apple store woudl have told me  of course they 
wanted to seel the obsolete to be replaced machines 
and this mac is nowhere near as stable as it was when i got it  so I'm not 
relaly as happy as I though tI would be for th emoney I spent onthis mac
