Hi Brian, Well, I thought it was related to 10.6.5 also. I did not try pressing the keystroke twice quickly so I don't know if that would have worked. I know my apps were all shut down other than the Finder, and the unit would not shut down. Eventually, I could get the keystroke to work, but not on the initial attempt. I have a new keyboard, and I'll see how things work and report any problems I encounter. I had other keys such as the caps lock key that were not responding, so it could have been the keyboard itself, but hard to know for sure.
