Hi! Definitely agree with this. In fact, I hear that the Mac OS X 10.7, Lion, is going to be a sort of "business" addition. Of course, I'm sure we all remember the "truly amazing feature", but it sounds slightly illogical that VoiceOver wouldn't handle tables properly in documents eventually.
While VoiceOver actually does handle tables just fine, VoiceOver does not announce them. That seems to be the big issue, and it is nice to know what cells you're working with. If you are going to buy a Mac, though, you could go ahead and do it before Lion is released. I have to wonder if Apple will do what they did with Snow Leopard and lower the price for some Mac owners who purchased a Mac within a certain period.
