David, were your Cannon scanner drivers inaccessible with VO? I couldn't make heads or tails out of them with VO myself, but they have to be running to use the scanner. I have scanned stuff with Vuscan, which I already bought. I use Vuscan for things that do not need OCR. I'm considering Docuscan Plus. I can't get Fine Reader Express to work for some reason.
