It can be; depends on your braille skills. I've been typing on a traditional
keyboard since I was 8, so that's why I know my
hands wouldn't work on the actual mac keyboard the wahy that's been described.
They've had 30 years of knowing that the
square keys get pressed one at a time. LOL! But on a dedicated braille
keyboard, especially if it enabled you to type in
grade two braille, then yes, in theory, you could type lots faster. It's a neat
idea, but it definitely needs to be a
separate device.

Subject: Re: Wouldn't a braille keyboard be nice?

Hi,

couldn't such a keyboard be connected via bluetooth as well. This would remove
the need of a USB port. But in general, as a
non braille user, what would this accomplish? Is typing on a braille keyboard
generally faster than a regular keyboard?

TIA

Two in my opinion is bad enough. I don't see why on the white models they
didn't give us a few more. I can't speak for the
eluminum pro models. I only've seen them maybe once or twice at an Apple
store, so I don't totally remember how they looked.
