Hi Kim,

Is it possible to reinstall iTunes? Yes, but most likely unnecessary. The
application package is not likely the issue here. I would guess that it has
more to do with other factors. I'll give you a few options but some of this
can get fairly difficult to explain over eMail as there are lots of variations
in what you can attempt.

• File permissions may cause this so running a Repair Permissions would be my
first line of attack.
• If that doesn't do it, try creating a second iTunes Library. Do this by
holding down the Option key while iTunes is starting, it will then ask you if
you wish to choose another library or create a new library. Try creating a new
one and working from the new one instead. This will just create a new database
thus all your media will stay intact. You will lose playlists and such but if
you export them ahead of time, you can reimport them in this Library. You may
need to also retell iTunes what to sync with the iDevices.
• I might also take a look at all your settings in your iTunes Preferences as
well as the sync settings for the iDevice. Make a few minor changes just so
that the file is updated.
• The other thing that could cause this is a corrupted preference file. You
would need to delete the old Preference file and then when iTunes was started
up, it would automatically create a new one. I won't give instructions for
this one yet as I don't have enough time this morning before I have to leave.

Let me know if you anything improves.

Later...
