I have been as well, so glad to know I'm not the only one. Mine has never
wanted to download them, and even wants me to varify some certificate on the
acount.
Did yours ever ask you to do that? Maybe we can chat off list.

Subject: problem with gmail and mail
Hi all, I have a problem with gmail and apple mail. I swittched over from
imap to pop3 using mail and for some reason I am not able to get any mail
from the server. I can send with no problem. I deleted and re added the
account several times with no luck. It worked fine till a feew hours ago.
It just stoopped working. pop3 is inabled on my account and has been for
some time and has never been changed. Anyone hear having this problem?
