Hi,

I think tagging your messages OT is not really analogous with smoking
outside someone's home.
I think it's rather like tagging a podcast or radioshow as 'Explicit'.
I think it allows those who do not want to read it to safely skip it,
knowing it is about something they do not care about.
I agree that off-topic messages in an existing thread are quite
annoying, but I think a thread labelled OT from the get-go is a
different matter.
No vengeance either, I am just clarifying my actions and explaining my
opinion.
