Richard,

The only time this happens to me is when I browse folders that are on a remote 
disk, e.g.: mounted via SFTP. It says Finder Busy for a few seconds when I open 
big folders.

If this is happening to you all the time, you might be using a defective HD.

Would be good to hear other opinions on the matter…
