Michael, Did this just the other day. Once you've created a new group, make sure you on that particular "Untitled Group" in the appropriate table. Then, under the edit option on the menu bar, you will find a "Rename Group" option. Select it & you are magically transported to an edit box for your previously selected "Untitled Group," where you can change the group's name to anything you choose.
