I know it would be a good thing to have an apple store look at it, but the store is an hour away so I don't see that as an option.
I have had someone look at it and it's just the log in screen. I log in and it still won't talk. I'll see what I can do, but if I can't get someone to take me to have surgery in another town, I doubt very seriously I can get someone to take me to fix my computer. Thanks for the info though.
