Hi all,

There is this particular sound in the Mac, a sort of electronic bleep or churp.
It happens sometimes after I select text, sometimes when a word is
automatically corrected, in an editor it just happened when I entered a search
into google, and I think it made some sort of correction. It is a pretty high
pitched bleep.

Now, you are going to have to be a fan of animals to understand the following.
:) This is the one sound in the Mac that sends my little dog trembling.
Nearly every time it happens, she is out of here, running upstairs to scrabble
up this rug when she is stressed. ;) She has always been sound sensitive
since we adopted her. Lol, she hates the talking kitchen scale I just bought.

Anyway, does anyone recognize the sound I mean, and is there a way I can change
it or stop it? Occasionally, I'll plug in my headset, but the other day, she
still noticed the flippin sound. BTW, it is not the same lower blurps that we
get in the iPhone. This one is definitely higher pitched.

Thanks for any help.
