Hello Alex. So this means that if I'm logged into Windows I can copy a file
from the mac side and if I'm logged into the Mac I can copy files from the
Windows side? I can also use Drop Box. Have you tried using VMWare Fusion to
boot from a Bootcamp partition and is there any advantage to doing this?

Thanks so much.

1. You can read, but not write, the mac partition in windows. It works the
same in mac os: you can read the windows partition, but not write to it.

2. I use Carbonite, but my understanding is that you can't back up both as
they are different partitions. You could pay $99 per year to back up your
primary drive and a backup drive (your other partition) but the basic,
$59/year package allows only one drive to be backed up. You can call
carbonite (1-877-2225488) and check with them. As to accessibility, the site
works, and the client works well enough on Windows (you may need the jaws
cursor though). I don't know about the mac client as I have not yet tried
it.

Hello everyone. I have been running Windows with VM Fusion for the past two
years. Although it works pretty well there are problems.
1. Freedom Scientific doesn't support its applications when they are running
in a Virtual Machine. If I make any changes to the VM I lose an activation.
Freedom Scientific gets quite irritated when they have to reset keys too
often.
2. Although Windows and MS office work pretty well in the VM, Open Book does
not.
3. FS Braille Display drivers do not load in the VM.
4. I got a chance to compare performance with the VM and with Boot Camp.
There is no comparison, Boot Camp performs much much better.
Here are my questions.
1. Will I have any problems reading from or writing to files on the MAC
partition?
2. Do any of you use Carbonite to back up both your boot camp and Mac
partitions? Is the web site for Carbonite accessible?
I will continue to use the MAC for ITunes. I also want to keep up with
accessibility improvements in the IWork suite.

Thanks so much.

Paul
