Hi, Mary,

Disclosure triangles are used for examining files or browsing for them within a 
dialog. Suppose you want to save a file and you want to save it somewhere other 
than the default location listed. You can press VO-space on the disclosure 
triangle and this will open up a display of folders for you to choose from.
