Yeah, that definitely should work.

I think sftp works as well, but don't quote me on that.

Thank you kindly,

I will have to try this when I get home. It has been several years since I
utilize terminal solely for FTP. I am able to utilize terminal for SSH just
fine, but for some reason I was thinking I wasn't able to solely FTP into a
server via terminal. Thank you, this gives me something to try.

  Thanks

Well, I have not yet had to try the terminal, but from what I read online
it is no different than any other command line ftp access. That is, you type
ftp, followed by your domain, and hit enter. Type your username and password
and you're in, with the usual commands (put, get, ls, pwd, lcd, and so on)
available to you.

Is there a way to do traditional FTP from the terminal? I ask, because I
was only able to figure out how to ask FTP from the terminal. Additionally, the
trick with mounting the drive on the finder, I have found has only work for
some FTP servers. For example my server that I have with host gator won't allow
me to mount the FTP server on the finder, and copy files over. I can Peru's the
FTP server via the finder, but am unable to copy or paste files that way. This
is why I decided to utilize Transmit.

      Thanks

It is not a client, but I just mounted the server I need by pressing
cmd-k in Finder. Now I need only open that volume to list all the files and
folders on the server. You could also use Terminal if you enjoy the command
line.

I use transmit, it is very easy to understand.

            Hey all,
Can anyone recommend an accessible FTP client?
