Hi,

When using the Remote App, double-tap on an item you wish to play. Once it
starts to play, the "Now Playing" window should present itself on the iDevice
and there will be Previous, Play/Pause, Next and Volume buttons you can
manipulate. The layout is not exactly the same as what the ATV presents when
using the physical remote but you will have access to most media. You will not
have access to the Settings and other things such as NetFlicks with the Remote
App. You will, though, be able to control Play/Pause and such if you're
playing media that you originally started playing with the physical remote via
the ATV interface.

Hope this makes sense.

Later...
