Thanks Nicholas, I just bought it and it's downloading now. I see that there
is an "in-app" feature for buying additional 19GB of loops/synth etc. That's
no doubt why it's so cheap, they get you on the back end buying all the
additional material.
I'm assuming that everything that MainStage downloads will automatically be
available to GarageBand and I won't have to shuffle files around - that's
how apple usually does things.
Any word on VO accessibility of the MainStage app itself? I guess I'll find
out for myself shortly.

You can buy Apple's Main Stage app from the Mac app Store which is around
$30 and comes with all the Apple JamPacks which work with GarageBand. I
bought this just as a convenient way of getting all the extra GarageBand
material - I don't actually use Main Stage. I think it includes, among other
things, an additional 15000 Apple Lupes. You should check it out.
