Hi,

thanks.  I figured the drive would need to be connected in order to access the 
movies.  What I meant by my second question is, if the drive is not connected, 
is iTunes rendered unusable, i.e. can I play music or access other content that 
does reside on my computer?

Also, how do you configure iTunes to tell it that your movies are on a remote 
drive?
