According to the article, echoed in the mac accessibility mailing, Samsung
has lost this battle in the German court in question.
However the pr damage should haunt them seriously. Does not google use
their phones for their accessibility items?
If the company wants to fight access, it should lose the right to such
contracts etc.
Just based on a swift read, voiceover is not going anywhere.

That's good news. I was a little concerned about if Voiceover would still be
available for I phone in the future. I was thinking of getting this for my next
cell phone once I try out one of my friend's Iphones to see if I like it. I
haven't used a touch screen before, so it will be a new experience.

Hey Guys,
This is completely off topic. However, this story I'm posting here is
disturbing.
samsung is suing Apple in a German court over Voice Over. They are claiming
it violated one of their patents. What is disturbing, they are trying to get
devices with Voice Over banned. Knowing what this would do to the blind
community. This is so utterly despicable to me. This is just not a calculated
business move. This could actually affect how the blind community has access to
GOOD devices. As we all know, no one touches Apple when it comes to including
the disabled with its computer and iOS devices. Anyways, I thought you might
find this interesting.
