the lawyers may have done this, but they did so at the behest of the corporation. Believe me, an issue like this is definitely not a molehill. If ignored, it can blow back on us and cause a lot more problems. The best thing we can do is vote with our wallets. As for Samsung making the best T.V. sets on the planet, I am not so sure. Sony actually makes some of the better consumer products out there. Sony also has better product support (I can still buy some parts for an old reel-to-reel tape player/recorder (and yes, even after 30 years, it still works). Can Samsung say that?
