Ok to open the Downloads folder press command-option-l from within the Finder. Now to open a Dmg image press command-o once the file is selected. It will mount to your desktop and so you should be able to work it out from there. If not just ask for more help.

Hi all,

Would someone please remind me how I find a dmg file I downloaded to my mbp?
Then, please also remind me how I go about installing that downloaded dmg
program.

Thank you,

John
