I remember experiencing this on my mac mini. I think the program could
handle this better though. It should either allow you to do audio only
calls, or if it requires a camera, it should bring up a dialog box
explaining this, then exit after clicking ok.

Hi Pam, I sure do, yes. And because I knew I wouldn't be able to rest
until I worked out what caused my issue, I played some more. It turned
out to be nothing to do with the size of the window.
While doing some testing for a project the other day, I connected the
built-in camera to Windows in VMWare Fusion. Having done that, Windows
remembered this and grabbed the camera every time I started Windows. So
FaceTime was failing because it had no camera.
There's really not much to say about this, except, duh.
I agree with you a bout the training. We don't have Apple Stores in New
Zealand, but the ones I've been in in the US are very noisy, and having
a hearing impairment, it's a very tough environment.

Hi Johnathan,
Do you also use Imessage? If so, There is a menu within your
conversation that will allow you to launch face time from the message.
I have used face time quite a lot myself & love the feature. I wish
Apple would allow 1 to 1 training using face time versus having to
compete with the noise of the store, while using voiceover.

Hi everyone, I'd be grateful for any help out of this one.
I think this problem started when I hid the FaceTime window on the Mac
by accident. Now when I run FaceTime, all that VO can see are the
close, minimise the zoom buttons. If I try to bring up preferences,
nothing happens. My list of recent contacts is no longer visible, and
if I get an incoming call, the decline button appears in the dialog,
but the accept button does not.
I've tried hiding all other windows and then activating the zoom
button. I've restarted FaceTime and the machine. I've signed out and
back in. I'm thinking this must be related to the size of the window,
but I haven't found a straightforward way to maximise it. I did try
bringing the window to the front but that hasn't helped.
I use FaceTime a great deal so if anyone has any thoughts, that would
be great. Thanks.
