Hmm. In the partition tab there is a "disk resize control" and then it
says "Size 999GB available space 437GB" so if I VO right a couple times
I get to the selected size edit text. If I put some small number in like
400 and hit tab and then come back it sets the size to the smallest
possible, which in this case is 562GB. Then I can tab forward a couple
times to the Add Partition button and hit space which creates a second
partition which will fill the remaining space. I can then go back to the
disk resize control and it is now a scroll area with two partitions
inside, the second of which is 437GB. I could then navigate to the Apply
button and the change would be made. Does this match any of your experience?

OK,
I'm trying to partition my SSD on my MacBook Pro.
I can get into recovery mode without problem, and I can launch disk
utilities, and I can seem to highlight the SSD, but I can't seem to
get any farther. The resize option in the menu structure is dimmed, so
I can't shrink the drive.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Dave
