Greetings, all: I teach a music appreciation class at a local community college in my area. This semester, I am required to use Blackboard in the instruction of my class. Fortunately, I am not required to use many of the functions of Blackboard. A very basic use of the system is all that is required. While Blackboard is definitely accessible on Windows especially when using NVDA and Jaws, it takes quite a bit of work to really learn to use the system with a screen reader. I am perfectly happy to use Windows to access Blackboard unless the site works significantly better with Safari on the Mac. Are there any instructors on this list who can shed some light on the subject? The student perspective is welcome as well, but I especially wish to hear from instructors. I've been a part of mailing lists long enough to not be upset by dead silence, so if nobody has any words of wisdom for me, I am ok with a complete lack of response on this thread.
