Hey Nick, You summed up my thoughts exactly. I use email more than anything and am a Gmail and Godaddy email user, so this Gmail issue is causing me not to upgrade to Mavericks. This has to be a big deal between Apple and Google. It almost seems to me that Apple is trying to force people to use their @me.com or whatever they are calling it these days which I have no interest in doing.
