Hi Andrew and others. There is an easier way to have incoming messages
read out to you in Skype. If you purchase Growl, you can configure it
to speak alerts for various applications such as Skype. The only catch
is that you can't be in the chat window. Just command+Tab to somewhere
else and then after Growl reads the IM, you can go back to the chat
window. HTH.
