HI Gigi,

I was using PDFPen. I downloaded the trial version of PDFPen Pro, and at first
it seemed to be exactly the same. VoiceOver could see the text areas, but I
couldn't seem to type text into them. Then I noticed that although VoiceOver
wasn't reading the text I typed, it appeared to be showing on screen. I could
bring the mouse pointer, and although VoiceOver wouldn't announce any typed
text under the mouse pointer, if I do a control click with the TrackPad it
offers to look up the word I typed or offers spelling suggestions if I typed
gibberish. So seems I can type, but the typed text is invisible to VoiceOver.
Also, when I am focussed on the text areas, VoiceOver announces keyboard focus
to be on "empty scroll area".

I might email you the form off list and see if we can get anywhere. Just
thought I'd send this on the list in case anyone else becomes interested in
this issue.

Thanks,
Nic
