In case you're not familiar with them, you could use an Alias on your
desktop to give easy access to a file that's buried deep on your hard
drive. You could also use an alias to have a large file appear to be in
multiple locations without sucking up a bunch of disk space. You can
even make an alias to a network drive and then you don't have to do the
command-K thing to reconnect.
