Yes, I just listened to an AppleVis podcast on an earlier version of dashboard, 
and you could actually use command-VO-f2 to close a widget. No more. there was 
also a widgets menu in the widgets bar that would allow you to access the 
widget manager. Not the case anymore. Darn. No, I'm curious, but I know when to 
stop. LOL
