Did you go into dashboard first with f12? That is the point where you hit VO-f2 
twice quickly. widgets are like mini-applets for various applications on the 
Mac. You can pop in and out to accomplish a task without having to open the 
full app. I even have a little Braille translation of free text widget that was 
installed with Louis for Braille transcription. with the calculator you can 
enter the numbers on the keyboard. You can set a world clock, as well. they're 
very handy, and I wish they were as accessible as they used to be.
