Comment:

 I have the same problem; it started with a revision made sometime in mid-
 January and continues up to now.

 There are no errors in dmesg -- everything looks fine.  Yet the error
 persists regardless of whether I remove all modules and reload them,
 reboot the machine, remove and reinsert the NIC, etc.

 Downgrading to revision 1372 fixes this problem.  I don't know if the
 breakage was made in revision 1373 or something; it's just a revision that
 works for me.

 Also, I noticed that I can try to make the interface, get the error, but
 the interface is there.  Then, if I destroy the interface and recreate it,
 I no longer get the error.  So, the error occurs only the first time I
 create a station interface per load of the modules.
