jackd is not a server for an ip-based network to connect two PCs with
eachother, it's a program that runs on a computer and on the same computer
the other audio programs run and connect to the audio server, but not over
some eth0 or ath0 device, but it's all inside one computer. Perhaps the
term "server" is a bit misleading here.
I've tried the command "athdebug +state" and right at the moment the xrun
happens, this is written to /var/log/syslog and is repeated a lot of
times:
