I'm not sure of the resolution posted. Jarviksin stated that his setup
worked with the AP set to "Open" and didn't work with it set to "Shared".
Brian states that the problem logged is that the AP doesn't support "Open"
yet that was the configuration reported as working! I am having the same-
ish problem with FC4. In my case the system works with the AP set to no
encryption. The connection is almost immediate with DHCP succeeding a
second or so later. When encryption is turned on, whether to "Open" or
"Shared" I cannot connect. The system log is basically identical to that
above. I tried the iwpriv command above, but to no avail. Turning on the
debugging as suggested produces a line:
"ath0: sta_pick_bss: select_bss failed"
