that does NOT work here at all (r1705 on mips32)
i get oops all the time.
ath_pci is loaded with autocreate=none,
then ifconfig wifi0 up / down / hw ether => segfault + oops
(same if a sta vap is created then deleted before the operation)
I can provide the oops message if necessary
