Please check your system log to see if you have a kernel oops message for
that hang. If not, please try to obtain a possible oops as described on
[wiki:DevDocs/KernelOops].
The only idea that comes to my mind is a shared IRQ between your WLAN card
and your HDD controller, can you check that, too?
