Hi all,
I have been trying to get the wifi in my Sony laptop (VGN-NR120E) to
work with Ubuntu 7.10 (x86_64)... and I haven't had any luck. It has an
Atheros AR5006EG PCI Express mini card in it. Here are some details,
It has a wireless lan on/off switch on the front of it, the switch is on.
output from lspci,
{{{
06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5006EG 802.11
b/g Wireless PCI Express Adapter (rev 01)
}}}
I have grabbed/compiled/installed the latest svn code from madwifi,

here is the output from dmesg when I try to modprobe ath_pci,
{{{
