Yes. It seems that is the case, another fallen victim to lspci tricketry!
http : //ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=601254 (Un?)fortunately I
had just gotten done reading the other thread you mentioned. Anyhow, I
was able to fetch ndiswrapper and get it working with Ubuntu 7.10
(x86_64). Thanks for the quick response ... will sigwait() for the new
HAL :)
