My wireless is working!
After reading through this:

I decided to follow Ticket #1679 and installed madwifi-
nr-r3366+ar5007.tar.gz
After "modprobe ath_pci", wireless 'magically' become an option in my
network manager (I am running fedora 8), automatically connected to the
access-point and is working like we all want this damn technology to.
Given my struggles getting this working, particularly the "damage" done to
other, previously working areas (a latter kernel and sound card), I would
suggest that madwifi-ng-r2756+ar5007 not be made available to the
"unsuspecting" public, or at least, clearly direct them to Ticket #1679...

P.S. My wife will be thrilled to finally have wireless back after she
reluctantly gave up Microsoft's latest excuse for an operating system to
solve other more practical problems. I think we have another convert in
the making...
