I apologize... I sort of mis-spoke in my earlier post.
What I actually do is:
# modprobe ath_pci autocreate=none
# wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode sta
# iwconfig ath0 essid XXXXXXXX key XXXXXXXXXX
# ifconfig ath0 up
# dhcpcd ath0
# wireshark
I'm not interested in the management frames, beacons and that sort of
stuff.
I'm just interested in the traffic on my wireless LAN.
