Yeah, but I'd be first in line, so maybe I shouldn't go find it... In
any case, it's on the list somewhere. :p

My only response hearkens back to my conversations here on -community
about having a full-time Community Manager that oversaw issues such
as these (basically, a Council Manager with additional
responsibilities). I can resurface the job description if anyone
needs me to.
Br,
Tim
Please do! And if such a job became available I would so apply...

Haven't been able to read up in full - the t.m.o page was getting such a
hammering I couldn't load it. But an immediate thought is that this needs a
council who are 100% behind the merger and who have the leadership skills to
steer the maemo community wisely.
Sadly, I'm afraid the load will be way too big to bear for a small
committee as was the case with the Maemo Council. There is going to be
a lot of work, a lot of guidance will be required, and there are going
to be quite a lot of strategic games and political wars going on, very
quickly. I also honestly believe that the workload is going to be very
massive for anyone who has fulltime job.
