Yes.  I would consider it a complete disaster if Maemo 6 requires
optification as well.  It would be awesome to get rid of optification
already during Maemo 5, but that is probably not feasible.

The plan for Maemo 6 is to put everything on the eMMC by default.  It
has not been implemented yet, and there is thus not much experience with
running the whole OS from the big eMMC. There might still be some
surprises caused by the performance differences between ext3 and ubifs,
or between the OneNAND and the eMMC.

But I don't expect these surprises to topple the whole plan of putting
everything on the eMMC by default.
