I've been happily using convert -page Letter test.pbm test.ps
for years to process G3 faxes received via mgetty (and subsequently converted to .pbm) but a recent upgrade to ImageMagick-6.0.7.1-14 on Centos 4.x has produced blank printouts when printing through CUPS (also recently upgraded to cups-1.1.22-0.rc1.9.10) It looks like in the cups error logs that it doesn't think that the .ps format is correct convert -geometry 612x792 test.pbm test.ps works but doesn't produce very good results. The .pbm has crisp lines but the .ps looks like it has a gray shading bordering all the black. The end result is that it looks out-of-focus and hard to read.
